To care for your body and take ownership of your health is a radical act. To care for each other as members of a greater community is too.

Community Midwifery Care is dedicated to personal, unrushed, evidence based care. I offer prenatal, gynecologic, fertility, and abortion care in my Park Slope office or the comfort of your own home and attend births at Mt Sinai West Hospital.

Why Choose CMC?

1. Expert in Pregnancy and Birth

Midwives are experts in low-risk, physiologic pregnancy and birth. While I am always monitoring for potential complications, I am not expecting them to arise. Pregnancy and birth are not primarily medical events, they are transformative life events! I trust your body to grow and birth your baby safely. I’ve caught hundreds of babies and celebrate each one with joy.

2. Personal Relationship with One Provider Every Step of the Way

Midwifery is relationship-based care and we will get to know each other very well! Prenatal visits are long, giving plenty of time not only for routine medical checks but for all of your questions to be answered and for me to understand what is important to you when it comes to your health and your birth.

As a solo practice midwife, I will be the one to see you for every prenatal visit, meet you in triage when you first arrive at the hospital, stay with you throughout labor, and catch your baby when they are born.

3. Easy to Reach Whenever You Need

Between prenatal visits I am available by email for all non-emergent issues/questions that arise. No need to wait until your next visit! Email me and I will get back to you within a day or two. If you have urgent or emergent needs between visits you will be able to call or text me at any time 24/7.
